Fishing Village Life

Thailand 2017, Day 14
I've now caught up with my back blips for the last few days if you'd like to take a look.
We started off to walk to the village today, which with refreshment stops, would have taken about an hour and a half. However, about 10 minutes in and I was already feeling very hot, so, as advised by the doctor, we decided to not risk the heat and returned again. The good news was that the wifi was super-fast when we got back, so we spent an hour uploading our back-blips which we had already prepared and written ready to upload.
Once finished our lovely regular tuk-tuk driver was summoned to take us to the village. One of my extras is of her and her husband, who also drives a truck to transport people and provisions. She smiles all the the time and talks non-stop.
My main picture was taken from the little pier restaurant where we ate our lunch today. The lady on the bows (right) is working on the fishing boat, and the person at the stern by the engine, looked as if he was her husband. Their dog had come to greet them on their pier.
The swallow picture I also took from the restaurant, and the two gentlemen taking it easy we have spotted several times now - always in the same position, and probably putting the world to rights.
The last extra is of rubber drying. Rubber and fishing are the main industries on this island, and the rubber production seems to be quite labour intensive. These sheets of raw rubber fetch about 80 bahts per kilo (about £2).
FASHION NOTE - Just a word of caution to any of you middle-aged gentlemen out there: grey greasy pony tails were never "cool" (in my humble opinion), (although I don't even like that expression, cool) but the pony tails now seem to have been taken over by grey greasy buns. Please don't do it gents. It's not a good look. Just get some scissors out and part with it - forever.
