Sweeping Winds .....

..... creating plumes of spindrift from the local summits. Even at our altitude the leaves have been in a whirlwind today. Now the foehn (warm southern wind) has stopped so the rain will return overnight, washing away more snow. I hope this is not the end of the winter.

Thanks for all the gifts for yesterday's mountain scene, you are so generous. Several of you made me laugh and cry with references to avalanches maybe dropping on a certain DT!
