Today, I was invited out for lunch, with 9 others, to discuss young people and vocations ..... and have lunch. There was a lot of expertise and experience in the room and I guess my role was to pitch in from a children's perspective. There was much common ground and a lot of what was discussed centred on identity and the recognition that everyone is first called to be fully human, to be, before being called to do. We also recognised that we each, in different ways, invest time, energy and resources into identity, well-being and self-esteem. Many thanks to all who shared lunch, and more, and to The convener for picking up the bill. There will be more to come from this lunchtime meeting.
