Teatime

Whenever I am on holiday the time that I most enjoy is between 5pm and 8pm, because that is the when, at home on a normal day, the hum drum of daily life usually takes its toll.

Whatever the afternoon activity has been, whether exciting or run of the mill, everything changes between 5pm and 8pm. Tea has to be made and served and eaten, baths have to be had, the bedtime routine has to be encouraged and battled with and as I appear out of the other end of that there is usually a whole round of dishes to be done and wash loads to be put on and bags to be packed and on and on and on.

Not so on holiday. On holiday at 6pm you can still be on the beach in your shorts and teeshirts, half playing footie and half taking photos of the beautiful sea and sky.
