Proper Piece of Pie!

Had a smooth drive from the gales, flooded roads and torrential rain of Devon, to the calm sunshine of Lincolnshire. Arrived when our daughter was still at work so we enjoyed a large lunch at The White Lion in Colsterworth. Mr PP's eyes nearly popped out of his head when he saw the size of his steak and ale pie. Proper pastry filled with layers of huge chunks of tender beef - big enough to feed a family of four! As was my sweet - ginger sponge and custard - a huge helping - but so light and delicious! It's seven hours since we ate and we're still full!
