Vibrancy.....

The Norfolk Island Hibiscus in our garden is just starting to flower. Otherwise known as Lagunaria patersonii it also has a host of alternate names... such as Cow Itch Tree and Pyramid Tree. It is native to Australia and Norfolk Island. The flowers are in singles and are a vibrant shade of dark pink. They look quite waxen to me and the tree retains its leaves through the year. We are fortunate in having so many interesting trees and plants in our garden.
