Diary of an Edinburgher

Museum visit

Elizabeth took Archie out today (extra) instead of yesterday, and she came at 10 o'clock, so we then set off to see the Wildlife Photography Exhibition at the Museum.

I haven't been there for ages - I used to go quite regularly to talks. And of course, Sunday is always a rather busy day. The exhibition was good, but the room was not big enough - too crowded. I remember seeing it a few years ago in London at the NHM, and it was rather more spectacular, with huge photos which were backlit, darkened surroundings, and plenty of room. However, they were all wonderful shots. I would love to have taken any one of them.

We had a look around the Fashion exhibition as well. What crazy shoes!

We met up with Janet, because Bailey was also out for the day with a borrower. We went into a cafe for a coffee afterwards, but it was definitely the wrong choice. The most awful muzak, which thankfully was put off while the large table near us sang happy birthday, and did not go back on again. But too late, that one's crossed off the list, for sure. Weak coffee too.

Back home in time for the rugby. Well done Wales, though I do like to see Italy doing well. But not too well! We need them to be last instead of Scotland.

JR has got herself organised with audiobooks from BorrowBox now too. Which reminds me, I have no recollection whatsoever of the chapter I listened to in bed last night.
