Not quite reflective
After a very misty start, it turned into a gorgeous sunny day. We drove to Fox Glacier in the morning and walked up to the glacier (see the extras). The landscape was very similar to yesterday at Franz Josef but the weather was very different. It was also a lot noisier today because the helicopter rides were running today whereas the cloud was too low for them yesterday.
My main blip is the view of Mount Cook (and other peaks) from Lake Matheson. When the lake is still the reflections make it one of the best known views in New Zealand. It was actually much sunnier than it looks in the picture. We walked around the lake.
We drove further south to a campsite at Lake Paringa, about 75km from Fox Glacier. It was a lovely still evening. The last extra is the view over my tent.
