Cancelled Flights

A breezy day, but sunny spells in the morning.  Showers came in through the afternoon, with gales following. 

I've been working all day on the museum desk.  It's been a fairly quiet day, not many about.  Also our general manager passed away last night, he was the head of the while organisation.  Me, mam and Laura went to see granny this evening, she was really well.  Off to work in the pub later.

After tea, I set off to Cunningsburgh to pick up mam and Laura, and we headed to the airport to pick up niece Eve. We waited and waited, until finally all flights cancelled due to the wind, the joys of island life!  These poor passengers were due to take off, but going nowhere tonight.  Taken at Sumburgh Airport.
