On Waikuku Beach....

It's fanciful to imagine that this tree started its journey in South America.  But wherever it came from, it makes an arresting bit of natural sculpture on this stretch of Pacific coastline.   The breakers were small but beautiful.

(Sounds a bit like Waikiki beach, doesn't it?    I have to say that having visited the latter when transiting through Honolulu a few years back - this is so much more attractive!)
