Oak Moss

A grey cold day with flurries of fine rain.  This is oak moss lichen hanging from a rhododendron bush.  At sign that the air here is relatively free from pollution.  There are lots of oak trees near to where this photograph was taken so I assume that is how this lichen came to be here.
