Across the way..

.. is this picture perfect old thatched Hebridean croft and today was clearly the day for work to be done on it. Thatches need renewing almost every five years and so the upkeep is considerable - pretty little hobbit style houses however and more are being restored, mainly for the tourist trade. Too small to live in full time by modern standards.
After sleet, strong wind, rain and cancelled ferries yesterday, today was at the other end of the spectrum, warm, sunny and windless. Almost reliving the old images of old women spinning on their doorsteps, Tricia spent a couple of hours spinning outside at the front of the house, taking in the sun.
