Loving the tulips
Thank you so much for your kind comments and hearts on my 1500th blip yesterday - very kind of you to favour such a mundane image that is now sitting well on the first page of 'popular'.
You won't find me complaining about the weather in England very often as I love it - but oh my goodness, the last few days have been so miserable, cold with flakes of snow falling all day but not settling as it is just not cold enough. Today was truly dire - miserable and soggy and grey! So an indoor flower shot was the best thing to do today.
So Luke went out to Switzerland yesterday and at one of his train changeovers he forgot his backpack on the train. This is an absolute disaster as all his clothes are in that backpack, together with his iMac, iPad, Kindle, the apartment keys...luckily he had transferred his wallet and passport from one of the bag pockets to his jacket. He has contacted the Swiss Railway and they say it will take 4 days before they know if they have found it or not, as all lost goods go to a central holding point. I am counting on Swiss efficiency that it will be found. However if it is found he goes back to university on Monday so we are not sure how to get this bag back to him and he needs all those electronic items for his studies. No matter what age one's children are they still can cause you sleepless nights!
It is half term from today, and before I collected Thomas I was invited to a lovely lunch by one of the mothers in his year - she made such a delicious lunch and we discussed all the issues facing our 16 year old sons!
Early to bed tonight as we have to be at the airport very early tomorrow morning.
