Friday evening buzz in the city
A very wet start this morning therefore a slow one for us. Eventually we set off and headed yet again to the museum of tiles and pleased to find it open this time. A fascinating place with old tiles saved from the monasteries right up to modern examples - I liked these.
The time disappeared in here, we enjoyed the wandering, certainly a place to return to sometime. We had to leave to meet up with B who introduced herself to me last weekend. She is staying in Lisbon and taking part in the course 'A Year With My Camera. We both posted 1day12 photos last Saturday and commented on each other's postings. She messaged later to suggest meeting resulting in a pleasant couple hours sitting the sunshine (the weather chances so quickly) chatting about everything including cameras.
Come 5.00 we went our separate ways, and as B suggested J and I walked over the 'pink' road, a street road painted pink....and up and down the wonderful narrow streets. These little yellow cars appeared although we could hear the shouting and hilarity before seeing them. We thought perhaps a Friday fun evening out with about a dozen passing by. It looked fun and although smaller they reminded me of our 2CV all those years ago. By now we felt hungry and stopped for an Indian meal before coming back to our lovely puss cat. He is a sweetheart, I'm sure he prefers us to stay in and tends to spend the evening asleep beside one of us.
