Today is the anniversary of the birth of one of the greatest biologist the world has ever known and the anniversary of the publication of one of the greatest books in science ever: "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life".

I have an old scanner so I can take a "picture" of a bank note and reproduce it here, even though most modern scanners and photo copiers refuse to scan bank notes, and because I use open-source software it also doesn't refuse to edit the bank note. If you are interested the little yellow circles on the far left of the note make up the EURion pattern and most modern scanners will not copy anything with them on (bank note or not) and some commercial photo software likewise will refuse to edit content with them in. I've not tried, but if you add the pattern to your own work it should make duplication more difficult.
