Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Look behind you, Archie!

I gave myself a day off the gym today - Sunday mornings there are usually very busy. Instead I did a minor workout at home, doing a few chores after Archie went off out with Becky and JR went to the supermarket. When Archie came back he had a haircut and a bath, so he's ready for his holiday tomorrow, though he knows nothing about it yet. We're timing our wee holiday for the coldest weather this winter. Never mind, I don't think it'll be wet all the time.

I finished my audiobook and got another one ('Be Near Me' by Andrew O'Hagan), listening to the first chapter last night in bed. Will have to listen to it again, though.

The Spy Cam programme was on before the rugby, and this is the life sized orangutan with a camera eye. Archie was not interested, he was waiting for the rugby.

It was an exciting but frustrating match. So many mistakes - but Finn Russell's missed kick right in front of the goalposts will live with him forever. I could have got it over!

Over the weekend we finished watching the recorded 'Unforgotten' which was excellent. And 'Apple Tree Yard' was good, if you could get through the numerous sex scenes in the first part of episode 1.

Heading over the Forth Bridge tomorrow!
