singing day

...and so it begins again..Spring Term of the Cairn Chorus Community Choir, starting with a singing day at the Institute at Moniaive. Lots of new faces, new songs to learn and of course the famous bring and share lunch.

We will be performing songs which have been specially commissioned, many of them about our local area, some by local poets and musicians and others by composers from far away, but inspired by the beautiful Cairn Valley. This time there will not be so many songs in foreign languages (only two, but that's challenge enough). Today we had a taster of all of the different pieces, and it was wonderful.
