Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2017 Wednesday -- Final Evening

We head for southern California tomorrow so this evening we were again enthralled with the view. We won't be seeing it for a couple weeks.

Our neighbors aren't home, so before going to dinner we walked across our little street and out onto our neighbors' deck to see the view from that perspective. We think it's lovely. Because their house is higher than the street below them, they have no obstruction of their view, whereas we have the houses (theirs) across from us to look over. Anyway, like ours, it is a beautiful view.

We've been told that a terrible storm is arriving tomorrow. We think we are seeing some of the clouds of that now. We're hoping to leave ahead of the storm. Driving to southern California in the rain is not our idea of fun.

We've spent this day cleaning. We've washed sheets and blankets, cleaned the inside of the refrigerator, vacuumed the carpeted floors and mopped the tile floors. Tomorrow morning we'll clean the bathrooms. This evening we're going to Duckie's Chowder House by the pier to have our dinner so we don't need to clean the kitchen one more time.

We enjoyed a wonderful winter season here and we've enjoyed the rain immensely. This is our fifth January of owning this house and it's the first where we feel like we've had a lengthy bunch of winter weather. In the past we've said that we enjoyed our best summer weather in January.

So good night from Cayucos,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
