A little blue

People dodge the waves in the last light of the day. On my way to football up at Meadowbank. Earlier in the day I saw that J had dropped out so I thought that the sides would probably need re-balancing. Sadly that didn't happen and without our best player and with most of the best players on the other team it was one-way traffic most of the game. It became one of those times where the objective long ceased to be winning the game but rather not to be 'grannied' (fail to score any goals at all - not sure why it's a granny, other than elderly grandmothers generally aren't usually particularly effective on a football pitch). Anyway we did eventually get our goal. Just the one, bundled over the line, but that was enough. Hopefully more even teams next week.
