An ordinary life....

The Night Before...

Busy old day today.

Lift engineer arrived to check the site.  He'll be back with the joiner tomorrow to cut the hole in the floor.  Unfortunately the earliest the lift will be installed is next Thursday/Friday so there will be a massive hole in the floor for over a week.  Note to self - increase David's life insurance.

Alison, my friend and ex-work colleague came for lunch today.  Another friend I haven't seen in a long time.  As usual we took up where we left off and had a lovely afternoon.  David was working from home so joined us for lunch, which was lovely as she's also his ex-work colleague.

Whilst we spent the afternoon nattering, there was lots going on outside and inside the building project.   When D and I had a nosey after the workmen had left, we found the back decking almost complete, one store cupboard set up in the pool room, the scaffolding gone from inside the pool and the steel framework for the seating bench covering the pool cover, bolted in place.

David then informed me that he'd spoke to H, the big building boss, who informed him that the pool will receive an acid wash tomorrow( to remove any impurities and ensure it is thoroughly clean) before being filled with water.

The official commissioning and hand-over of the pool (and the entire project) will take place next Tuesday.   The champagne is on ice :-)))
