What is the crudest piece of equipment in your kit bag?

Although being a self confessed geek, I do like a lo-tech solution or construction.

On a very rare text message promotion take up I sent away for a mechanical ticker counter. I think that although I did have a proper use for it, (I haven't ever used it for anything other than counting the quickest route from my bus stop to my office. Oh, it also came in very useful for counting out my 365 blip.) I just love the way it works.

This is taken with one of the pieces of equipment and most crudest I always keep with me.
