Bee happy!

The gale of yesterday, a severe north-easterly, has finally passed, and this morning we are rewarded with a fine sunny spell, almost warm.
Warm enough to do a little long overdue gardening, and while out there I noticed a few bees looking at my bright yellow tub.
Surprised, I went to check the hive and sure enough the bees were out! Quite a few of them, no sign of pollen so I guess they were collecting water. They have some candy to supplement their stores, and this need water to make it usable. Obviously busy with something anyway. I am really pleased to see them in good numbers, as you never know what will happen to them over the winter.
