Room for improvement

Two slow, short walks around Wooler with MrM and Louie on a mild, still day. Then pottering, paperwork, photos and phone calls - among other things, arranging insurance cover for our new (to us) car, ready for Friday when we're due to pick it up.

MrM has taken most of the day off - he's been down to Alnwick to play music for the old folk. Here's a mandolin he finished making earlier this week - the first instrument completed this year, as his work's been severely disrupted by recent events. I spent a while messing around with the camera, trying for a few decent shots for the website. This is just about OK, but doesn't do the top of the instrument (it's European bear-claw spruce) justice, so I'll try again tomorrow with better lighting...
