The Space Station

When the Minx and I were up in Scotland in December, staying near Fraserburgh, we visited a place called the Last Bus Works Canteen. We got talking to the owner who showed us some accommodation that he'd built, including a place called the Space Station, which no one had yet booked. Obviously we couldn't resist and decided to come back for a Valentine trip.

Ideally we'd have set off first thing this morning but, by a happy coincidence, I had some work that needed doing and the Minx was running late. In the end, then, we didn't get away until after midday. We still enjoyed several hours of Scottish scenery before night descended, although combined with some snow, the last hour of the journey was a bit more like hard work.

We arrived in one piece, though, to find our hosts had prepared some supper for us to eat in the canteen before we went to set up home in the very cosy Space Station.
