It's Arrived

A parcel was delivered this morning.
It was the silver spoon that I commissioned from our silversmith friend in Pittenweem and was designed in collaberation with No1 son.

Although it is for LML it was delayed in being made because the maker also had a number of orders for cranial implants.
He is one of a very small number of people (maybe the only one .... I will need to check) who makes titanium plates for people who have had major skull damage and need implants to replace the lost bone.
Obviously these orders came in at short notice (very short notice in fact) and are all 'rush jobs' and are much more important than frivolous things such as my request.

It represents the Cygnet looking after his sibling - his sister being the egg since we did not know what sex she was before she was born and the spoon was commissioned a while ago.

Now I need to wait until the maker gets back from a holiday to find out how much it will cost (unless he is working along the lines of BOGOF since we had a spoon made fot the Cygnet)
