From The Balcony
After a (very) full English breakfast, we set off along the Coast Path towards Gribbins Head in a very English sea mist, which kept clearing momentarily to give us tantalising glimpses of the cliffs and coves.
Our walk was punctuated by a phone call from Chris to let us know that, after a day of haggling yesterday, his latest offer on a flat he wants to buy has been accepted. This will be his first foray into home ownership, so plenty of stress still to come :)!
After two and a half hours of walking we got back to the hotel to enjoy this view from the hotel balcony with a pint of Skinner's Betty Stogs Ale.
As you can see,the mist was finally clearing and it was unseasonably warm enough to enjoy the sun coatless.
This afternoon we caught the little passenger ferry across the estuary to Polruan, left of picture, for a stroll round it's quaint and quiet lanes.
Looking forward to another excellent meal in the hotel restaurant this evening.
