A sad day

Received the news this morning that a dear and much loved friend and work colleague had passed away the previous evening.  We knew he was ill but had hoped against hope that the new treatment he was receiving would continue to work.  It coincided with the last day of our short break to the lakes.  We decided not to do anything to strenuous and went for a walk in Keswick  and the Hubs took me to the Lakes Distillery.  We tried all the spirits on offer and raised a glass to absent friends.
