Don't Keep Your Knit Hat in the Glove Compartment

Probably don't keep your knit gloves in the glove compartment either. I went to grab my warm hat as I got out of the car by the beach this morning, and look what I found. My beautiful soft hand-made-by-me-with-great-effort hat had been deconstructed. Someone has chewed big holes in the fabric and fluffed up the yarn. Luckily I did not come face to whiskers with The Intruder or you would have heard me scream all the way to wherever you are. There was no food in the car--we learned that lesson in the camper many years ago--just my delicious hat. So be warned, all you people with hats and cars: it's a jungle out there.
