A fine Sunday afternoon activity

While any self respecting Geelong resident was tucked up at home away from the chill and frequent rain showers, a band of 17 intrepid Scouts, Venturers, parents, leaders and one Rover and one Cub grubbed about in the wet and mud fundraising.
We were contracted this weekend to set up and take down facilities for a big Ford car club meeting.
On Saturday, we erected lots of tents for exhibitors, put orange plastic netting along road edges and generally helped out. On Sunday the weather was wet, but we took down all that we had set up, gathered bins for collection, and completed a passing favour by emptying all the bins into a skip. Everyone had a role in the process, even the cub shown here.
Then home for a yummy, if experimental, dinner.
