A man needs a hobby

Even if that man is only 11 years old. He has a few mates who enjoy sailing and he has decided to get back on the water again.

What a great and scary thing, taking your own vessel for a spin, to go fast, to keep up with your friends, and to avoid capsizing.

I am keen for him to sail and his father was very keen on the idea, but I am not completely mad on hanging around boat yards for the next few years.
Still, I managed to be an acceptable ballet mum, I do my bit as a band mum, I cheer on the netball girls, I became a scout leader (!) , so I am certain that I will find my niche as a sailing mum.
