Played hide and seek....

with this lovely Mountain Hare in the inland sandhills, where I have never seen one before. The Blue Hare, unlike the Brown is a native species, but have been greatly reduced in numbers by hunting. This one was sunbathing right on the summit and bounded off as soon as he saw me.
The extras show his terrain, the weird sandhills and his summit and one of the moss cushions like a volcano.
