Optimists

The pair of swans on the pond on Bookham Common were convinced we would have something for them to eat, but soon swam away when they were proved wrong. Sister J and I enjoyed a walk after a large Sunday lunch. The Common was busy with dog walkers and families - lots of children on bicycles. The birds were in full voice amongst the large oak trees, a feature of this historic open space. The catkins showed up bright in the woodland.
