Took the bus out to The Caesar Manrique foundation and then on to Haria to see his country home. What an incredible and influential talent of architect inspired by nature and the old ecologically gentle Lanzarotian way of life . We both came away totally inspired and in awe although white walls and cactus sadly don't easily translate to Irish climate
Had to wait for hours for bus connection - spent most of it in a tiny bar with the TV blaring out showing what appeared to be a talent show for 12 yr old girls performing Rio style carnival dancing to the music of Benny Hill show. Really.
Weather cold and windy again, wearing all my clothes again.
