Lake Windermere!

The rain may have been quite relentless as Mum and I travelled up to The Lakes this morning, but that wasn't going to put us off...even as it continued to rain into the early afternoon. It was worth donning our waterproof gear and strolling from Windermere to Bowness before taking the Hawkshead Ferry for a wee wander around Ferry House...because we got to see some blue sky and sunshine! :-D 

It has been a really lovely day. I think days like these personify a feeling of wanderlust...a great desire to travel and roam about...places new don't need to be very far away to bring a little bit of magic and wonder. :-)
