Cruisin

This was chugging quietly up the harbour this morning and became the Blip of the day ‘Cos The Boss and ME had other fish to fry, things to do, dogs to be smelt by (it was a fluffy Chihuahua) and didn’t pick up a camera again.

This is the “Celebrity Solstice” apparently a medium sized Vessel that only cost $750,000,000 and takes 2886 folk on the cruise of their lives.. No you can’t take your dog. 

Wellington sees a lot of Cruise ships and on any day you can wander down Lambton Quay and see lots of older couples clutching city maps.

Last year The Boss and I met a lovely couple at the Cable Car terminal in town. When asked, they said they had seen all of NZ  which was Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin and The Boss stunned them by saying “No you haven’t”.
 “You haven’t even touched the surface and never will unless you leave the ship and travel inland because very little  of the beauty of this country can be appreciated from a Cruise ship” 

They looked disgruntled and left. I am sure he will be appointed an Ambassador of something  when his skills are fully recognised.
