Sailing boats on Mote Lake

Dull as ditchwater when we set out for our morning constitutional via the library. And not much expectation for any improvement according to the weather app. But by the time we reached the lake the skies had cleared, the sun was out and the temperatures were rising rapidly, reaching 17C in the afternoon. We always like the sailing boats as they are quiet and unobtrusive compared with the angry buzzing motor boats we get on a Saturday morning.

That made it very pleasant in the garden while pruning the apple tree and removing more of the Red Robin. Both proved hard work creating lots of debris and also proved to be the end of my long handled loppers which snapped while tackling a particularly thick branch on the Red Robin. That meant an unexpected trip to the garden centre for a new pair so that we could finish the job.
