To the dentist in Hawick this morning, a mercifully brief appointment.
Then a walk through the town, with no particular errands to do. This didn't stop me buying a bone-folder and an ivy-pattern Colclough plate in a closing-down bric-a-brac emporium.
I tried to take a picture of a sculpture of a man wrestling with a bull, but was interrupted by three cheeky little lads who offered to pose for me instead. I declined.
This weird object was hanging in a shop window. I suppose it is a skeleton of a puffer fish, but I don't know for sure. All I know is that Hawick is a long way from the sea.
Then it started to rain, and I gave up and came home. Not a very inspiring sort of a day.
