Wonderful

After a 7am roll call in the vineyard this morning Kathie, Mary, Rachel, Paula, Shazie, Ali and I brought home the best looking Syrah we've ever had. It was an easy harvest, not too hot and a steady cooling breeze. Very few woman-eating wasps too. All good news!

Henny joined us for the destemming and crush and now, in perfect health and tasting delicious, these grapes are just starting their fermentation in the tanks at La Caumette.

We have a smaller quantity this year, in line with everyone else, but the quality is excellent. Phew, one day down, three more to go.
