Amaryllis

The amaryllis has been stunning us for days now since it came out fully.. I hadn't remembered that it was pure white and I love it. It was a Christmas present and I started watering it straight away. This first stem has five flowers on it, and now there is another stem shooting up the side. It amazes me that such glory can come from a dry crusty bulb.
My sister has gone home, winter has come back with a cold, dark, damp day, and if I'm not careful I shall slip back into my rut
