Surviving Storm Doris

Storm Doris is quieter now but it has been very windy all day. The drive is covered with small branches off the big beech tree, together with masses of beech nuts. We thought the beech nuts had all come down in the autumn, so it is amazing to see a whole lot more. Tête a tête daffodils have come out suddenly over the weekend but they are very sturdy and have not been affected by the wind. This clump of hellebores are also standing up to the onslaught.
Had lunch with WI friends today, a regular engagement.
