stuck in the mud

Sometimes it's necessary to post a record shot for the day. Nothing scenic, artistic or creative.

With Storm Doris around I didn't want to venture too far from home so started with a walk around the park. That was where I spotted this car.  I think the contractors working on some landscaping must have forgotten to lock the gates when they finished yesterday.  The wider view with the approach route is in extras. 

Then once around the village. I was surprised to see how many empty shops there are. A butcher and a baker are two very recent closures. 

14 yellowhammers in the garden this morning ......... and the RSPB begging letter blurb we got in the post today says they are on the 'red list'.
