Broom with a View?

An active day as we decided to go where man and stuffed dog have never gone before…I think…..and we “peaked” (that’s staggered to the top in stuffed dog words) Mt Victoria via a different route.
This is probably an unknown route as The Boss will no doubt forget the complicated path we followed (including some grrreat advice from a nice postie lady) to the top and the even trickier paths down to ‘Bernies”   (Bernie is a Bermese Mountain dog) Cafe, where “he” (The Boss NOT Bernie) scoffed a “Scruffin" which was a muffin filled with custard and a cold drink…(wrong sort but what can you do) and we sheltered in the shade and were entertained by the passing parade. Not content with that we also attended the exhibition “Cindy Sherman” at the Art Gallery where “he” spent an grrreat time chatting with a delightful young N.Z. lady with a soft American accent, over the finer points of it all.
Cindy Sherman is an interesting Photographer who seems to specialise in posing herself in powerful portraits which portray the period in cynical and often disturbing terms. It’s powerful stuff and very worth the effort to see.

Pawscript…Thats the Carter Fountain in Oriental Bay in the Barkground and Wiif to “S”
