STORM DORIS

Doris, seen here flying through the trees as she barged her way through Derbyshire, Cheshire, Staffs and Shropshire bearing high winds and very heavy rain causing havoc in her wake.  Serious injury to a lady in Stoke on Trent having been hit on the head and in the face by flying debris and an elderly couple killed by a tree falling on their car on the road near to the Gliding Club.  Luckily we remained safe but there were severe interruptions to the electricity supply, all the daffs are lying prostrate in the garden and the bird feeders have turned inside out.  We’ve been very lucky, hope you all have too?

Storm ‘Doris’ departed by 5pm and the electrics came back on again.  Internet was variable hence late posting of yesterday’s Blip.
