Clare College, Cambridge.

This is part of The Old Court, Grade 1 listed building. Although the college was founded in 1326, this part was built between 1638 and 1715, with a long interruption due to the English Civil War. There is a marked difference in styles with the original north wing, on the left, built in Gothic style with vaulted ceilings inside and the rest in true Classical style. This is a view from Garret Hostel bridge which crosses the river Cam. In the background, against the sky , are the spires of King's College Chapel. As the wind had dropped, it was quite a nice day to be out.
