Appreciating the Details

There are many things I enjoy about wildlife photography:  meandering down a path, listening to song birds, and noticing the details in nature, are a few.  I almost posted a photo of a Canada Goose getting huffy with his neighbors (in extras) but then I took a second look at a shot of a male Mallard Duck (also in extras), extending his wing.  I realized that a close up might be able to hold its own as a photo, so I cropped in.  I feel like I truly saw that duck now.
