Grackles

A large flock of Grackles came visiting the bird feeders today. They have an amazing iridescent plumage around their heads which was catching in the sunlight. Grackles are definitely not song birds and are pretty noisy when in a large group which is why the collective noun is a plague or annoyance! They must have thought spring had come early as the temperature  was around 74 F or 23 C. And to think we had heavy snow two weeks ago!
