Inspired! (Colour in the Cloisters)
IF this looks a little dark, it was very dark! I had to use 2000 iso just to get a usable shutter speed (but still low for a non stabilised handheld 1.4kg 200mm lens).
Groan at the title if you must but this colourfully attired Spanish girl spent several minutes just gaping upwards at Salisbury's soaring 404 ft high Spire. I knew how she felt, I still get goosebumps myself after over 40 years and thousands of visits.
Yes, I took the nice quite old Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 Apo around the Cloisters at about 3pm and it was dark then and it just got darker! I do think that those Medieval craftsmen either had well dodgy spirit levels or the local brew was a little strong!
