Stars and Scudded Clouds
http://www.policedoghogan.com/live/ Saw this 8 piece band live last night at Salisbury City Hall. Last minute £15 on a cold 'filthy' February rainy night made this a very wise decision indeed!
I never take any sort of camera (or even phone) to concerts as I want to enjoy the music and not feel guilty about sneakily taking photos or distracting myself trying etc.
So no Blip by then, gig ended at 10pm, but energised by the music, the dancing, the general good feel vibe and I sensed that the heavily leaden cloud might break up a little overnight.
Few minutes walk up the Avon Valley with big tripod and shot over the reed beds. Not the best foreground, but I liked the string of street lights but I loved the bursting sky, taken over 30 seconds using the Tokina 11-16mm at just f3.5 (and left unsharpened after).
It was windy and cold - as it was today (Sunday) where a Blip was gotten somewhere rather more familiar and comfortable (that to come).
