Scale

Had I known a cruise ship was in the bay today I would have paddled out to take photos of such a monstrosity this morning, as it was I had to shoot from the beach once I arrived at the volleyball court. I still wanted a sense of scale, so I managed to capture a beach boat heading to work (towing a banana boat) as well as a tender shuttling passengers to the pier in the same shot as the cruise ship. I have heard stories of three such ships in the bat at one time during the cruise heydays of old. Cannot imagine more than one at a time in our tranquil bay, but they do make quite an impression when they visit.
