Cala en Porter

A strikingly beautiful sandy beach and bay........with the foaming waves being forced between the two headlands....this is Cala en Porter, on the south coast of the island.
These vertical cliffs are about 40m high.

The sandy beach was virtually empty today.....a small group of children were playing, and a family were enjoying a picnic. ......photographs taken during the summer months will show hundreds of tourists enjoying an idyllic location.....and hopefully with calm waters!

The rear of the beach gives way to a wetland environment......with public information boards giving details about flora and fauna found there.
